She is not saying thar she is planing too, but one thing leads to another thing. Just see what Tina sid on the "Tina: 50th Anniversary Tour", she said it's because of the people wanted it, oprah said it, sophia loren, beyonce and then it sudently was all about "t was time"...

If Tina wants to go on tour she will do it, she don't need exuces.
All other artists set up for a long tour, not like Tina, who has them after one another, bur like one in the week or something, if she had done that the last time she would be holding on 90 weeks and that would be until 2011.

Hi everibody,

i've been very far away from this posts a long time, but i have to say this....

Definitely, Tina is not out!!!
She still on the road. Albuns or tour, she's on!

I think Tina maybe's plainig another album, wich i think is correct even without another tour.

But i think the last tour is very incomplet. She can do fill footbol stadiums like in the past! I think she can do fill Maracaná higher than in the past. She can do it better!!!

Here in Portugal, we still miss her. Like in other countries.

Tina is 70's! That's all right!, but the critical stay say that she's the only realy performer, even on her age. she's not doing play-back!!!

YOU KNOW TINA!!! SHE WILL NOT GIVE UP FOR US!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE ARE HER SUPPORT!! AND SHE'S OUR...........

"PARIS (Reuters) - Veteran pop star Tina Turner may yet call her troupe of dancers out for another world tour, though for the moment she prefers home-cooked dinners and a stress-free life.

Entertainment | Music

Sitting in the front row at the Giorgio Armani Prive fashion show in Paris on Monday, the 70-year-old looked radiant in a sparkling black top that revealed ample cleavage, her trademark mass of curls piled up high.

"People wanted to see me, so many were holding signs up saying, Thank You," she said of her 2008 tour, which grossed $47.7 million.

"I haven't made a decision yet," she told Reuters when asked if she would stage another tour. "I didn't make a plan for a big tour, with big stadiums. I'm not saying I won't do it, get the girls out and do something, but I haven't decided."

Turner has for decades been one of the world's most successful performers, roaring out hits like "Simply The Best" and "What's Love Got To Do With It" in stage-stomping, high-octane concerts.

At Armani, as models prepared backstage for an haute couture show of sweeping white gowns and folded skirt suits, Turner said she liked simple clothes for everyday wear but still had a passion for racy outfits.

"My favorites are short skirts that work for heavy dancing," she said. "I have a short torso, and it looks better with a short skirt."

And even if another exhausting round of concerts is not imminent, waiting fans may console themselves with the prospect of a new album.

"Recording is something that's always easier than touring. I wouldn't mind, but nothing's come my way right now and that's fine," Turner said with a smile.

Unfazed by the scrum of photographers around her, she said while she loved performing in public, she could see the advantages of a more quiet life.

"I have dinner parties, I can go to parties, there's more freedom when you're not working," she said. "I'm just enjoying life."

I think she already knows what she wants to do, she just needs to pluck up the courage to set it in stone, and she will.

Tina has said after every tour since Break Every Rule that, that was it, she wasn't going to perform on stage again, yet every couple of years she's back, because of one thing or another. She admits the Foreign Affair Tour wasn't exactly planned, it just happened. Then came the Movie - which brought her back for What's Love Live. Next came Goldeneye, which sprung the Wildest Dreams Album and Tour, then came the spat with Elton John at Diva's Live 99, and that spawned Twenty Four Seven, tour and album.

What I'm getting at is, after each of these tours (Less so after the Wildest Dreams Tour) but nevertheless she said, that she was never going on stage again ever. So for her to even entertain the idea to journalists, and say maybe, so soon after finishing a tour, that is something, something big.

She did say after the Twenty Four Seven Tour, she wanted 10 years off. She got 8 - 9 years. this year is her 10th year since Twenty Four Seven, I think Tina Turner might just see the stage lights again, with a tour, or an album, or both.

I agree, the fact that she said "Maybe" Is a very big indicator. Tina never tips her hat about things to come. I wouldn't be surprised if she already knows more than she is saying. I feel the same excitement I felt a couple years ago, and every time there was any hint of possible new Tina news.

I also think she is very realistic. By most people's standards Tina is old and should be enjoying the finer things that come to a life filled with hard work. Tina loves performing and probably realizes that her opportunities to do so are becoming limited to say the least. In the past she was able to say “this is my last time" probably knowing that she had time to change her mind if she chose to. The time left to change her mind this time is rather limited so if she wants to feel the rush of performing again it probably needs to be soon.

As much as I hat it, I can handle not seeing her live again but I need another new Tina album. Please Tina, give it to us.

It's possible she's testing the waters but I just don't see her doing another tour anytime soon and frankly, I've no problem with that. I was content with One Last Time being her final tour. It was nice to see her on the 50th but it was lacking something.

I'd much rather she concentrate on making a new album. Based on what she said though, there's no material or any talk of any new recordings. This more than a tour is what I really am looking forward to. Also, the thing to take into consideration is, if she does release something new is she going to devote the time into promoting it? No way she can release an album and not do promotion. Otherwise, there's no point in it for her. Tina is not the type of person to release an album just for artistry's sake. She's strictly a commercial artist. She wants her stuff to sell. She wants a hit. That means promotion because the standard avenues of release like terrestrial radio and video is not going to embrace any new product from her without some prodding. Playing stuff from someone 40 years or older is rare so it's not going to be a slam dunk just because Tina puts something out and she's got goodwill. It doesn't work that way.

I'm not opposed to another tour but I want something completely different from what she's done. That would get me excited about a tour. But more than that, I want some new material with some thought and care put into it.

Album or tour?
If Tina desides to do a new tour, she has tons of songs to sing, she did not sing any songs from "Rough" or "Love Explosion" and over 40 Ike & Tina albums. And I have no problem to see Tina one more time without a new album. If she decides to give out only a new album that would also be great. But if she does both things that will be simply the best.

I agree with MILKYAQUA... One Last Time (24/7) to me was her best overall concert and performance... I would just love new music from Tina... sometimes a concert can be a let down... At Tina's age, I would rather see her in small venues maybe a few nights in a row rather then the large stadiums. She can still wear the short skirts, but she doesn't need the big stage that goes along with it...

Assuming she will not tour again, I would love a new album and if music videos came out with it, that would be even better.

If she does another tour, I would go and enjoy it. However, I would enjoy it even more if it was not mostly the same songs that we already know and love. Of course there are standards, but I would hope it would include a majority of new material or older songs we have not seen her perform before. For example: Wildest Dreams. That had all the songs we already know and love BUT it had several new songs from the album. I mean really--was the set list that much different from 24-7 to Tina Live? I mean no disrespect because I love EVERYTHING she does (new or not). But if she is going to keep working, I think newer is better.

A new album is a definite must moreso than a tour. She hasn't done an album of new material since 1999. We've just gotten different packaging of the old material with a couple throw away songs. Tina has never said she'd stop recording; touring, yes, but not recording.

And maybe I'm jaded having seen her in concert since Private Dancer but any talk of a tour defnitely needs to include a totally revamped stage show and different arrangements of material. I also don't see her doing stuff from Rough or Love Explosion or any Ike&Tina since during 24/7 it seemed like she couldn't wait to blow through the old Ike&Tina stuff. I don't see her dipping her toe into that pond.

She's made remarks in interviews over the years about doing Sade-type material or more songs in the vein of Something Special though she knows her audience would probably be resistant to it. I say screw that and just go for it. At this point in her life she's earned the right to do whatever the heck she wants to do including never setting foot on a stage again if she so chooses. But I think at this point she should record what she wants regardless of the commercial appeal. Of course, like I said before, Tina has never really been the type to do something for art's sake so I think Roger and she would have to be on the same page since he's the one who's always looked towards the commercial aspect in choosing which material she did. If she wants it to have any type of success, promotion is a must and she's said before that's not her favorite aspect and indeed she deliberately did limited promotion around the 50th anniversary tour and happenings. She can't hope for a new project to work without promotion; it just won't happen. Decent videos are a must but that's up to the record company as far as advancing the money and I seem to recall that they wouldn't do that for Open Arms. Her last really interesting/contemporary video was probably for Whatever You Want. I wonder what a combo of Tina and Sophie Muller could produce video-wise? A cheap video can be a million dollars and the label expects to recoup that from sales and/or touring. The artist can put the money up themselves as it's not unheard of. Also, what is her label status? There's been talk previously of her no longer being with EMI/Capitol which might also be why it's been so long since we got an album of all new material.

Whatever she does, I'll be grateful for it but it would be nice for her to do something different.

I loved seeing Tina on the most recent tour in New York, Paris and Chicago. She as usual was fantastic. However I think it would have been great for Tina to shorten some songs and focus on songs that people haven't seen her do forever. "What's Love Got To Do With It," ended up being 10 minutes with the audience play. She could have fit 2.5 - 3 songs into that time frame of material we haven't seen her do. Also Private Dancer becomes theater like which is wonderful but it drags on. With so much material for her to go through Tina could put through a show that really leaves everyone who's been a fan of her work including her time with Ike satisfied. I'm shocked that she doesn't do "Tina's Wish/Prayer" on stage. That would be an absolute show stopper.

I'm saying Tina's shows are great for her performance in them but the song selections sometimes are a bit static. I know she's said in the past once you get a good running show she likes to stick with it but I'd like to see a different song selection every few shows like The Rolling Stones do. Tina is definitely on their caliber. She could have a wonderful section after the sit-down unplugged set where she goes right into some of her bluesy tunes like, "I Smell Trouble" and give them some up-tempo flair.

At 70 I think Tina needs to work with younger producers - she needs to be with producers who can capitalize on the Tina Turner Rock and Roll franchise and bring something that's new and fresh to a generation that's supported and loved her but also to a new generation who needs to know what real Rock and Roll and performance is. I just think Tina needs to get back to being actively involved with the recording process. She produced "Foreign Affair" and that album is an absolute underrated gem.
